April, 2008: Brainwave Studios is a high-tech children’s entertainment company based in Franklin, TN. We are developing a massive online virtual world called Franktown Rocks. We have immediate fulltime openings for the following positions:
• Flash Designer/Devloper
• FLASH/PHP Programmer
FLASH DESIGNER/DEVELOPER
We're looking for a fulltime creative Flash designer/developer with a strong eye for design.
• Great graphic designer able to deliver a fun, kid-friendly style
• Able to create animations and static graphics
• Experience with user interface design and development
• Flash animation and programming (ActionScript 2)
• Photoshop
Additional skills that would be a plus (but are not required):
• Experience with print design and layout
• HTML, CSS
• PHP/MySQL
• Flash ActionScript 3
• Swift3D
The ideal candidate will;
• Be a resourceful and creative problem solver. We’re looking for someone who is not afraid to tackle design/development challenges in new and inventive ways.
• Work well within a collaborative team environment.
• Be flexible and adaptive. You’ll be working on all sorts of elements for use within our virtual world. Everything from animating cartoon animals, to concepting and developing games and areas, to designing and developing widgets.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong work ethic, but able to have fun. Both professional and creative.

FLASH/PHP PROGRAMMER
We're looking for a fulltime, creative programmer who is an expert in;
• Flash ActionScript 2
• PHP/ MySQL
• HTML/CSS
Additional skills that would be a plus (but are not required):
• Flash ActionScript 3
• Javascript/Ajax
• Server apps such as DNS, setting up zones/virtual domains, email, etc.
• Graphic design
The ideal candidate will;
• Be a resourceful and creative problem solver. We’re looking for someone who is not afraid to tackle programming challenges in new and inventive ways.
• Work well within a collaborative team environment
• Be flexible and adaptive. You’ll be working on everything from making a cartoon pig walk across the screen in Flash, to creating reports in PHP for displaying information from a MySQL database.
